This was one of my first forays into this type of fetish. I have to say it was rather interesting and the author was descriptive. The sex scenes were okay and the character development was the same.

I received no compensation from the author or publisher for this honest review.

"After today, there will be no more construction crew rampaging through the house, no more rippling muscles and dripping sweat.  No more Paul and Dylan. This is it. If something is going to happen, it has to happen tonight. It has to happen now."

Sara's husband seems to be more interested in pleasing his clients than he is in pleasing her. So when not only one, but two, of the very large and handy construction workers currently renovating her house express an interest in her, Sara can't help but get swept up in dirty daydreams about what the three of them could get up to together.

When the renovations are complete, Sara has a brand new guest bedroom just begging to be broken in, and the two workers will be moving on to the next job unless Sara can give them a reason to stay just a little longer...

Will two men be too much for the voluptuous and neglected Sara?

And will the three of them have enough time to thoroughly find out before her husband gets home?

Out of Time is an erotic short and contains explicit erotic content intended for mature readers only.

Novel Breakdown

Characters: 3
Not much going on with the characters that made them stand out. They were very two dimensional.

Plot: 2
Nothing extraordinary.

Flow: 2
The flow of the story was not broken by weird moments such as a back story popping up or drastic change of POV.

Believability: 3
The setting is current time and could definitely happen.

Sexual Tension: 3
This short was a "quickie" so there really was not much build up in tension to the shedding clothes and let's get it on moment.

Romance: 1
This was about lust, not romance.

Unimpressed and uninspired, Amy Collins was resigned to a life of dating boring men who were mediocre in the bedroom — until a chance meeting with an otherworldly being changed everything. With alpha male shapeshifter Z, Amy discovers pleasures she had never imagined she wanted, but would this visitor to Earth ultimately prove to be more man than she could handle?

Tentacle erotica and scifi erotic romance have never been this hot and slithery!

Novel Breakdown

Characters: 3
They were not flat but they were not completely three dimensional either.

Plot: 2
Basic. Alien wants to have sex with human. Human looking to get laid.

Flow: 2.5
Decent but there was some jarring in the shift of the main character's emotions and responses to things happening to her.

Believability: 2.5
Sometimes the jump from the sex into the main character's confusion/rationalizing what was happening to her was abrupt and aggravating.

Sexual Tension: 5
The build-up into the sex was really good.

Romance: 2
Not much romance going on in this short read. It really was all about a quickie that turned into some otherworldly sex.

Review [ShortRead]: The Sheikh's Pregnant Bride by Leslie North

I received no compensation from the author or publisher for this honest review.

When Sheikh Kamal first saw Erin from across the ballroom he knew he must have her - and he always got what he wanted.

But Erin isn't like the other girls he knows. Even for an American she is exceptionally feisty, strong and stubbornly independent. A challenge to him. Yet he can't keep his eyes off her, her stunning beauty kept him captivated for the whole evening.

When Erin first saw Sheikh Kamal she had no idea he was royalty and leader of Jawhara, one of the largest (and wealthiest) countries in the Middle East. She just saw him as an irresistible handsome man, tall, with deep brown eyes and a muscular physique. Definitely her type.

He was perfect - apart from his personality.

He was so arrogant, controlling, and dominating. Everything she told herself she NEVER wanted in a man. Yet, she feels such a strong pulls towards him, even his scent is intoxicating..

They sneak away from the ball and go back to Erin's apartment where they share an intense night of love making. In the morning Kamal is called urgently back to his country.

As the weeks go by, and the gifts from Kamal pile up, Erin makes a shocking discovery. She is carrying the heir to a kingdom..

When Kamal discovers this, he will do anything to bring her to his country and make her his bride. But Erin has other ideas..

Novel Breakdown

Characters: 3.5
I liked Erin a lot. Kamal, not as much. Don't get me wrong. I love alpha men but when one goes to an extreme like Kamal, it becomes a turn-off.

Plot: 3
I have been in a sheikh/rich man mode as far as the stories I have been reading lately. This one's plot was the same as others which was okay.

Flow: 3.5
I felt in some places the story felt a little rushed but other than that, I was able to follow the storyline easily.

Believability: 3.5
There were no elements that threw me out of the story.

Sexual Tension: 4
There were a couple of moments were the tension was amazing. The rest of the time it was barely there.

Romance: 3.5
I wanted a little bit more in this area but what was there was decent.

Review [ShortRead]: Unwillingly Yours by Marian Tee

I received no compensation from the author or publisher for this honest review.

What happens when a Dom and a Sub find each other too early in life? Should they turn their backs on their destiny just because they're too young?

Nerdy. Boring. Unavailable. 18-year-old Jaike Hepburn is happiest when those words are used to describe her. But then a billionaire playboy comes along, and it becomes impossible to deny her secretly submissive self.

Charming. Friendly. Perfect. This is what 21-year-old Derek Christopoulos strives to be for the sake of his parents' legacy. All his life, he's kept his darkness hidden, waiting for that one girl who'd take pleasure in belonging to him.

When Derek and Jaike finally met, they both knew the truth in an instant.

She is his, and he is hers.

My Thoughts

Novel Breakdown

Characters: 3.5
I am not sure how I truly feel about this pair. Jaike is very introverted and dating a "safe" guy. Derek wants her ever since the first time they meet and he felt that she was the "sub" for him. Jaike did not really pull me in like she should have as a main character and Derek got on my nerves just a little with his "I am Dom" hear me roar behavior.

Plot: 3
Not much of one. Young man wants girl that he feels is submissive and will work as a sub for him. Girl is afraid of feelings and rejects his advances.

Flow: 4
I was not jarred out of the story and everything was in order and easy enough to follow.

Believability: 3.5
Some of Derek's behavior was stalkerish, at least in my opinion. If I was Jaike, I would run too.

Sexual Tension: 4
Jaike was hyper-aware of Derek and those scenes, where some of the simplest gestures and actions happened, took on a new dimension because of it.

Romance: 3.5
I felt there was more "lust" than love in this story, especially on Derek's part, though Jaike did have some attraction to him that she was afraid to admit to.

Novel Breakdown

Characters: 3
Because this was a really short read, character development suffered. I did not really connect with Fran or the two Darkon Warriors who became "hers."

Plot: 3
The plot was not new which is okay but I felt it was so barely there that it made the story feel cliched to me.

Flow: 3
I would have liked just a little bit more backstory/setup before jumping right into chaos.

Believability: 2.5
I had a hard time getting into the setting and the things Fran had to do to escape.

Sexual Tension: 3
It felt forced and that was a bit of a turn-off.

Romance: 2.5
This was a lust-driven storyline. There was no time for romance.

Review [ShortRead]: Careless by Cleo Peitsche

I received no compensation from the author or publisher for this honest review.

After being forced out of his company, Nelson returns home a billionaire with a hole in his life. When he meets Kimberly and Samuel, he decides he’ll have them both.

But Kimberly and Samuel aren’t a couple, and Samuel’s the one holding things up. He hasn’t dated a woman in five years, and even though it’s plain he loves Kimberly, he agrees to Nelson’s threesome on the condition that it be only one night.

Kimberly would marry Samuel in an instant if he asked. He’s just not interested. But a single night to satisfy her curiosity is better than never knowing Samuel’s kiss.

There’s no way for Nelson, Samuel and Kimberly to all get what they want. One careless moment of weakness has the power to destroy them.

This tale contains explicit sexual content and graphic language that may be objectionable to some readers. Includes multiple partner interactions, sexual dominance and submission, male/male and m/m/f scenes. For adults only.

Novel Breakdown

Characters: 4
The complexity of the three characters were impressive considering the fact that this story was a "short read." The behaviors, reactions and emotions were very much on display and I loved it.

Plot: 3
The plot is nothing new but it was well executed.

Flow: 4
Sometimes when a story is a "short" or "quick" read, the flow seems rushed and that affects the believability of the story. That was not the case with this story. Everything moved along at a nice pace.

Believability: 4
I have met people like Kimberly, Samuel and Nelson in my lifetime so the way they acted and interacted was very believable to me.

Sexual Tension: 5
Smoking to Inferno hot. I wanted to be in that sandwich.

Romance: 4
Kimberly's and Samuel's relationship prior to the introduction of Nelson made me want to read this story to see if Kimberly would get her wish. Sometimes a person gets in his/her own way when it comes to love. I am interested in reading more about these individuals.

Novel Breakdown

Characters: 3
Because this story is a novella/short read, there was not a lot of emphasis on character development. It was meant to be a "quickie" in every sense of the word. The characters are two consenting adults engaging in "play."

Plot: 3
Not much to it. An office quickie theme.

Flow: 3
The pacing was quick but flowed smoothly. I did not get thrown out of the story as I read it.

Believability: 3
There was nothing in the story that made it seem unrealistic.

Sexual Tension: 5
The foreplay/BDSM elements made this story "hot." It was the best part of this story.

Romance: 2
This was a "lust" story, pure and simple.
